I am a criminal attorney in Phoenix, Arizona. I grew up in Cedar City, Utah. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Utah University. I then continued my studies at Creighton University School of Law where I earned my Juris Doctorate with a Certificate of Concentration in Litigation. During law school, I participated in both advanced mediation and trial teams, and upon graduation was honored with recognition as a top graduating student who excelled in trial and appellate advocacy.
Prior to moving to Phoenix with my family, I was a police officer in Henderson, Nevada. Upon being admitted to the Arizona Bar in 2009, I worked as a criminal prosecutor in Mohave County, Arizona. I was then appointed presiding judge for the Page Magistrate Court in Page, Arizona, where I oversaw the adjudication of over 3,000 cases annually. I then served as a judge for the Glendale City Court in Glendale, Arizona, that oversees the adjudication of over 40,000 cases annually.
I left my service as a judge in 2014 intent on helping those charged with a criminal offense. Since 2014 I have focused my practice exclusively in the defense of those charged. My overall experience and knowledge of criminal law and procedure gained as a police officer, prosecutor, judge and defense attorney, serves as a valuable asset to my clients charged with a crime.
